The Grasstree Beach community is made up of many permanent residents with a small number of holiday and weekender homes from a history of local farming families having their beach house on The Esplanade.

The Grasstree Beach community is made up of many permanent residents with a small number of holiday and weekender homes from a history of local farming families having their beach house on The Esplanade.

The beach side of The Esplanade is a large park area with public playground, BBQ and exercise equipment. The beach is somewhat protected within Zelma Bay and spans around to Castrades Inlet where you can launch your boat at the boat ramp to access the nearby islands, reef and estuary.

Grasstree Beach is just a 15 minute drive to Sarina and 30 minutes to Mackay.
